MapleStory Familiar Automation Bot: Full Pipeline with MANIA

What Is the Familiar System in MapleStory?
Familiars are summonable companions in MapleStory that provide passive combat bonuses through their potential lines. Each familiar has 2 lines of potential, with the most valuable being Inner Enemy Defense (IED), Boss Damage, and Drop Rate. Familiars come in 5 ranks: Common, Rare, Epic, Unique, and Legendary — with higher ranks unlocking stronger potential lines.
Familiars are obtained by collecting monster cards while farming. Each card gives you one copy of that monster's familiar. To rank up a familiar, you need to fuse duplicate cards to accumulate rank-up points. The rank-up success rates decrease at higher tiers: Common to Rare is 100%, Rare to Epic is 80%, and Epic to Unique drops to 40% — meaning failures are common and waste all accumulated points.
Most players need at least 3 familiars with specific potential combinations for endgame content.
Why Does Familiar Farming Take Hundreds of Hours?
Getting a single familiar from Common to Epic rank requires approximately 100-150 duplicate cards of the same monster — each earned one at a time through individual kills. Once at Epic rank, the familiar has over 100 possible potential line combinations, and most are useless. Players need specific lines like IED, Boss Damage, or Drop Rate across their 3 equipped familiars.
The math is brutal: farm hundreds of cards for a rank-up, face a 40% failure rate at Epic-to-Unique, and even on success, the potential lines are randomized with no way to reroll without starting over. Players typically spend hundreds of hours across multiple characters to build a complete familiar setup. This is widely considered one of the worst grinds in MapleStory.
How Does MANIA Automate Familiars?
MANIA handles the entire familiar pipeline without manual intervention. While farming, familiars gain 1 EXP per kill when summoned — MANIA keeps them active and rotates through your familiar roster automatically. For extraction, MANIA identifies unwanted cards and converts them into rank-up points. It manages familiar essence (the gauge that depletes when familiars are summoned) by using essence items automatically.
When you've accumulated enough points, MANIA handles fusing — combining duplicates for rank-up attempts. It evaluates the resulting potentials against your configured targets (IED, Boss Damage, Drop Rate, etc.) and continues the cycle for any familiars that didn't get the right lines. The entire process runs as part of your regular farming routine with zero additional setup.
